STEPS - TrainingPositive Steps towards Success
STEPS Project aims to advance the learning and skills of Asian Women in Nottingham and build the capacity of the local community. The service is provided in a small, safe, friendly, mainly female environment (to women mainly but not exclusively) from a Pakistani and Bangladeshi background who may be disadvantaged due to cultural difficulties, family problems, financial barriers, or special education needs. The programmes delivered are life changing, introducing young women to lifetime learning, building confidence, social skills and assertiveness, offering work experience, career planning, CV writing and mentors who act as a positive role for young Asian women. The project has been running for the past six years and in this time has acheived remarkable success meeting all it's targets within it's budgeted expenditure. Aims and Objectives
