HikmahThe Hikmah Education Project was established in May 2003.
Since then the project has come a long way, meeting it's
intended goals and aspirations.
We now have many users accessing services and taking full advantage of the support provided for both children and parents. These services have been greatly appreciated by the whole community. The main aims of the project have been to help raise the educational performance, educational awareness and self-confidence of children aged 5-13, as well as developing skills, and building social and cultural identity, thus allowing children to have a voice. The project has not only supported children, it has also taken the initiative to support parents in understanding school culture and environment. The funding awarded by the children's fund has allowed us to encourage learning through innovative approaches for both parents and children by engaging them in various activities which have enabled the project to fulfil its aims. The Hikmah Radio Education Project provides a service for children and parents to help improve education and build self confidence in children by giving them a voice. Hikmah also run an after school homework club three times a week and Arabic classes. More Information
